This is, in every sense of the word; A Matter of Life and DEATH 

Righteousness is the Main Theme of all of Scripture, we will not live life beyond this tent we occupy if we do not live ‘righteously’.  Sinners do NOT enter the Gates of Yahweh’s City, they do not enter into the Kingdom.  They live, but they live death, where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched, everlasting Abhorrence.

I had this discussion with a countless number of churches as I stood for truth and Repentance and Obedience.  I found unrepentant sinners in every church I went to, all claiming to have the ‘holy spirit’ in them.  They picked and chose which commandments to follow and which their designer god no longer cares about, or that the times have changed, they are totally oblivious to the fact that they are the reason morality has reached the depth it has.  Back in the 1960’s christian preachers were losing people (money) at an alarming rate.  So they eased up on Obedience and Repentance messages.  They eventually stopped using the word repentance in the ‘sinners prayer’.  I guess this is when they drew the conclusion that they could continue to sin, because Paul taught that no one is righteous.  And “god” is blind to my sin, or understands why I sinned and I am covered by the blood of jc.

Then I set out to find the Congregation of Philadelphia, everyone said it was no longer on earth, and in their complacency, they figured their church was better than most so they just believe what their pastor tells them.  I was becoming more and more aware of the lies we have inherited from our forefathers.  Recognizing what Scripture said and what was being spoken from pulpits, the lies and the apostasy drove me out of the church.  However, the assembly of Philadelphia must exist, it is in the Scriptures as a part of the Revelation of Yahusha of the end of days.

I then learned about the true Name of Yahweh and Yahusha, and soon after that the Ruach showed me about clean and unclean food and the Sabbath.  Suddenly the Scriptures were opened to my mind and my heart.  I had spent the last 5 years self-studying Scripture and was almost convinced by the gentiles that I was wrong about what I thought was right.  But Wow!  He showed me so much in the last 4 years of following Yahusha HaMashiach.

I thought I had found the congregation of Philadelphia when I came into the Messianic ‘Movement’ that is exploding these days.  Sadly, I find remnants of that designer god and those same erroneous reasonings about sin.  I have found many different groups believing many different doctrines, same as christianity.  Denominations under the heading of Messianic Judaism.  They argue and insult each other and then are quick to judge.  And just like in Judaism and in churchianity, they insist on only speaking ‘smoothly’.  Did the prophets of Yisra’el speak ‘smoothly’?  Yes, some of them did, and just look at the results.

Is a prophet not spoken to by Yahweh?, and given words of rebuke to speak to the people, His people?  All of the prophets had only one message; REPENT and turn back to Yahweh.

Repent means:   STOP SINNING !!!! 

We are commanded to guard the commands of Yahweh.  We guard them within ourselves and those around us, our brothers and sisters.  When we see (or hear) our family in sin or miss-understanding the Scriptures in such a way as it may lead them to sin, we are required to warn them.

When I was still a member of that group, who met on-line, I often left the chat room on Shabbot sad and insulted and feeling totally defeated in standing up for the faith.  We are called to righteousness and should not accept anything less.  Because sinners end up in Gehennah, we cannot become children of Yahweh and be in His family and remain ‘gentiles’.  The message was to be taken to the gentiles so that they would turn from their sin and be grafted into Yisra’el.  You leave gentile life behind.

Every argument and point of contention in the chat room and here as well, among this group, nine times out of ten, the disagreement is with the teachings of Sha’ul (Paul).  Kepha’s warning about Sha’ul’s writings are not limited to the unlearned, the false teachers who teach what the churches teach of Sha’uls writings are learned men.  Learned men have taught the teachings of Sha’ul to believe that we cannot be righteous.   I want to set Sha’ul aside for the time being and take a look at what the Talmidim (Emissaries or taught ones) of Yahusha, those who walked with and talked with and touched and loved in a way we will not understand until the end of days, IF we are found worthy of entering His Kingdom.

I recently was part of one of these discussions in the chat room and I spoke the words of Scripture and said that if we were of Messiah that we do not sin.  Someone came back and said; “we are all sinners”.  I wanted to say, speak for yourself, but thought better and just let it slide.  There was enough contention as it was.  However, I am still extremely concerned and have not forgotten that statement.  If we are all sinners, we have NO chance of entering His Kingdom.  To believe that we will remain sinners until we die, is to condemn ourselves with no hope of life.

There is not one verse in all of Scripture that says we can be unrighteous and live an eternal life with Yahweh/Yahusha, not one.  But ‘man’ will always make interpretations that justifies (only to themselves) their inability to say no to sin.  “The flesh is weak”, but He gives us the Spirit (power) to say no, He will always provide a means to escape.  You just have to act on that and not give in to the sin.  If you keep Yahusha right next to you all day and all night, (that is the Ruach of YHWH in us), how are you going to sin?  We can become unclean and even guilty simply by being in ear shot of someone else sinning or swearing, cussing, cursing, etc.  But He knows that you were not responsible for that, that is not being a sinner. 

Let’s take a look at what Kepha, Ya’aqob Yahudah and Yohanan have to say about being righteous or being a sinner.

Let’s begin with Kepha and his warning about false teachers and prophets (apostles, disciples) and what they will teach in Yahusha’s Name, yet they are liars.

2Pe 1:1  Shim’on Kĕpha, a servant and emissary of יהושע Messiah, to those who have obtained a belief as precious as ours by the righteousness of our Elohim and Saviour יהושע Messiah:         

 2Pe 1:2 Favour and peace be increased to you in the knowledge of Elohim and of יהושע our Master,                                                                                                                                                                                                        2Pe 1:3 as His Mighty-like power has given to us all we need for life and reverence, through the knowledge of Him who called us to esteem and uprightness.                                                             

2Pe 1:4 Through these there have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these you might be partakers of the Mighty-like nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world, caused by lust.

I darken these parts of this word out as they do not exist in the Greek text. The Greek text actually reads:  “As all things to us the Devine Power of Him…”  It does not say divine-like.

One wonders why they would add ‘–like’ to a reference of Yahusha Himself.?? Nothing is like Him, nothing could compare to our Elohim.  I believe that the scholars at ISR who authored this version of the Scriptures, is of the incorrect opinion that Yahusha is not Yahweh as many of the Messianic groups have been taught by ‘men’ who have little or no understanding of the power of Yahweh.  They have turned to a form of Judaism and then deny who the Messiah is.  I have had to leave many friends behind because of this false teaching.  Yahusha is the Messiah of Yahweh.  He is The Spirit of Yahweh and as the word Elohim is plural, and as Bereshith states; “Let Us make man in Our image, Messiah is a part of Yahweh.   By the same token, Yahusha does not ‘replace’ Yahweh as some Christians believe.  They are ‘One’ or ‘Echad’ the Father being the Head and both along with The Spirit are always in agreement, and He (they) never changes.

This is just one example of how an ‘author’ of one version or another can influence the meaning and outcome of understanding of the ‘bible’.  This is why it is so important to go back to the most original source of information.  We all too often rely on others for what we believe.  This is also another proof that the ‘bible’ is not the inerrant word for we see the errors from one version to another.

2Pe 1:5  And for this reason do your utmost to add to your belief uprightness, to uprightness knowledge,

2Pe 1:6  to knowledge self-control, to self-control endurance, to endurance reverence,

2Pe 1:7  to reverence brotherly affection, and to brotherly affection love.

2Pe 1:8  For if these are in you and increase, they cause you to be neither inactive nor without fruit in the knowledge of our Master יהושע Messiah.

2Pe 1:9  For he in whom these are not present is blind, being shortsighted, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his old sins.

2Pe 1:10  For this reason, brothers, all the more do your utmost to make firm your calling and choosing, for if you are doing these matters you shall never stumble at all,

2Pe 1:11  for in this way an entrance into the everlasting reign of our Master and Saviour יהושע Messiah shall be richly supplied to you.

2Pe 1:12  And so I intend to remind you of these matters again and again, though you know them and have been established in the present truth.

2Pe 1:13  But I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by a reminder,

2Pe 1:14  knowing that the putting off of my tent is soon, even as our Master יהושע Messiah made clear to me.

2Pe 1:15  And I shall do my utmost also, to see to it that you always have a reminder of these matters after my departure.

2Pe 1:16  For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we made known to you the power and coming of our Master יהושע Messiah, but were eye-witnesses of His superbness.

2Pe 1:17  For when He received respect and esteem from Elohim the Father, such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Esteem, “This is My Son, the Beloved in whom I did delight.”

2Pe 1:18  And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the set-apart mountain.

2Pe 1:19  And we have the prophetic word made more certain, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

2Pe 1:20  knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture came to be of one’s own interpretation,

2Pe 1:21  for prophecy never came by the desire of man, but men of Elohim spoke, being moved by the Set-apart Spirit.

2Pe 2:1  But there also came to be false prophets among the people, as also among you there shall be false teachers, who shall secretly bring in destructive heresies, and deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.

2Pe 2:2  And many shall follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of,

2Pe 2:3  and in greed, with fabricated words, they shall use you for gain. From of old their judgment does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber.

2Pe 2:4  For if Elohim did not spare the messengers who sinned, but sent them to Tartaros, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be kept for judgment,

2Pe 2:5  and did not spare the world of old, but preserved Noah, a proclaimer of righteousness, and seven others, bringing in the flood on the world of the wicked,

2Pe 2:6  and having reduced to ashes the cities of Sedom and Amorah condemned them to destruction – having made them an example to those who afterward would live wickedly,

2Pe 2:7  and rescued righteous Lot, who was oppressed with the indecent behaviour of the lawless,

2Pe 2:8  (for day after day that righteous man, dwelling among them, tortured his righteous being by seeing and hearing their lawless works),

2Pe 2:9  then יהוה knows how to rescue the reverent ones from trial and to keep the unrighteous unto the day of judgment, to be punished,

2Pe 2:10  and most of all those walking after the flesh in filthy lust and despising authority – bold, headstrong, speaking evil of esteemed ones,

2Pe 2:11  whereas messengers who are greater in strength and power do not bring a slanderous accusation against them before the Master.

2Pe 2:12  But these, like natural unreasoning beasts, having been born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheme that which they do not know, shall be destroyed in their destruction,

2Pe 2:13  being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, deeming indulgence in the day of pleasure, spots and blemishes, revelling in their own deceptions while they feast with you,

2Pe 2:14  having eyes filled with an adulteress, and unable to cease from sin, enticing unstable beings, having a heart trained in greed, children of a curse,

2Pe 2:15  having left the right way they went astray, having followed the way of Bilʽam the son of Be’or, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

2Pe 2:16  but he was rebuked for his transgression: a dumb donkey speaking with the voice of a man restrained the madness of the prophet.

2Pe 2:17  These are fountains without water, clouds driven by a storm, to whom the blackest darkness is kept forever.

2Pe 2:18  For speaking arrogant nonsense, they entice – through the lusts of the flesh, through indecencies – the ones who have indeed escaped from those living in delusion,

2Pe 2:19  promising them freedom, though themselves being slaves of corruption – for one is a slave to whatever overcomes him.

2Pe 2:20  For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Master and Saviour יהושע Messiah, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the first.

2Pe 2:21  For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the set-apart command delivered unto them.

2Pe 2:22  For them the proverb has proved true, “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “A washed sow returns to her rolling in the mud.”

2Pe 3:1  This is now, beloved ones, the second letter I write to you, in which I stir up your sincere mind, to remember

2Pe 3:2  the words previously spoken by the set-apart prophets, and of the command of the Master and Saviour, spoken by your emissaries,

2Pe 3:3  knowing this first: that mockers shall come in the last days with mocking, walking according to their own lusts,

2Pe 3:4  and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all continues as from the beginning of creation.”

2Pe 3:5  For they choose to have this hidden from them: that the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by the Word of Elohim.

2Pe 3:6  through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water.

2Pe 3:7  And the present heavens and the earth are treasured up by the same Word, being kept for fire, to a day of judgment and destruction of wicked men.

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2Pe 3:9  יהוה is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2Pe 3:10  But the day of יהוה shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11  Seeing all these are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in set-apart behaviour and reverence,

2Pe 3:12  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of Elohim, through which the heavens shall be destroyed, being set on fire, and the elements melt with intense heat!

2Pe 3:13  But according to His promise we wait for a renewed heavens and a renewed earth in which righteousness dwells.

2Pe 3:14  So then, beloved ones, looking forward to this, do your utmost to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,

2Pe 3:15  and reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

2Pe 3:16  as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures.

2Pe 3:17  You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless,

2Pe 3:18  but grow in the favour and knowledge of our Master and Saviour יהושע Messiah. To Him be the esteem both now and to a day that abides. Hallel-u-Yah.

Is this possibly a warning about just what we are talking about?  This was in my view a direct warning about Paul’s writings.  Kepha knew that we would risk losing all we had worked for if we follow Paul’s words to say we cannot be righteous or that circumcision was not necessary or that the Torah cannot save.  Indicating a fleshly side of us that we will have no power over.  But Yahusha (Messiah) in us, gives us that power, it is not my righteousness that saves me, but He in me that gives me righteousness.  If I sin I am asking the Ruach HaQodesh (the set-apart Spirit) to take a walk while I break the law.  That’s like asking a cop to turn his back while you smoke a joint, or asking the Ruach to close his ears for a minute.  Like Scripture says; if you are sinning You know not the Father or the Son.

How about Yohanan what does he say about sin and righteousness?  Yohanan was the one that Yahusha loved.  The one who said “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with Elohim and the Word was (is) Elohim.”

1Jn 2:24  As for you, let that stay in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning stays in you, you also shall stay in the Son and in the Father.

1Jn 2:25  And this is the promise that He has promised us: everlasting life.

1Jn 2:26  I have written this to you concerning those who lead you astray.

1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which you have received from Him stays in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as the same anointing does teach you concerning all, and is true, and is no falsehood, and even as it has taught you, you stay in Him.

1Jn 2:28  And now, little children, stay in Him, so that when He appears, we might have boldness and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

1Jn 2:29  If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

1Jn 3:1  See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of Elohim! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

1Jn 3:2  Beloved ones, now we are children of Elohim. And it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

1Jn 3:3  And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean.

1Jn 3:4  Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

1Jn 3:5  And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

1Jn 3:6  Everyone staying in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1Jn 3:7  Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

1Jn 3:8  The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn 3:9  Everyone having been born of Elohim does not sin, because His seed stays in him, and he is powerless to sin, because he has been born of Elohim.

1Jn 3:10  In this the children of Elohim and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone not doing righteousness is not of Elohim, neither the one not loving his brother.

1Jn 3:24 And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.

1Jn 5:1  Everyone who believes that יהושע is the Messiah has been born of Elohim, and everyone who loves the One bringing forth also loves the one having been born of Him.

1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands.

1Jn 5:3  For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy,

1Jn 5:4  because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world: our belief.

1Jn 5:17  All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death.

1Jn 5:18  We know that everyone having been born of Elohim does not sin, but the one having been born of Elohim guards himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

1Jn 5:19  We know that we are of Elohim, and all the world lies in the wicked one.

1Jn 5:20  And we know that the Son of Elohim has come and has given us an understanding, so that we might know the true One. And we are in the true One, in His Son יהושע Messiah. This is the true Elohim and everlasting life.

1Jn 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amĕn.

2Jn 1:8  See to yourselves, that we do not lose what we worked for, but that we might receive a complete reward.

2Jn 1:9  Everyone who is transgressing and not staying in the teaching of Messiah does not possess Elohim.

2Jn 1:10  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house nor greet him,

2Jn 1:11  for he who greets him shares in his wicked works.

Ya’aqob (James)

Jas 1:14  But each one is enticed when he is drawn away by his own desires and trapped.

Jas 1:15  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. And sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

Jas 1:16  Do not go astray, my beloved brothers.

Jas 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning.

Jas 2:8  If you truly accomplish the sovereign law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself,” you do well,

Jas 2:9  but if you show partiality, you commit sin, being found guilty by the Torah as transgressors.

Jas 2:10  For whoever shall guard all the Torah, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.  

Jas 4:1  Where do fightings and strivings come from among you? Do they not come from your pleasures that battle in your members?

Jas 4:5  Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose? Does the Spirit which dwells in us intensely crave unto envy?

Jas 4:6  But He gives greater favour. Because of this He says, “Elohim resists the proud, but gives favour to the humble.”

Jas 4:7  So then subject yourselves to Elohim. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you.

Jas 5:19  Brothers, if anyone among you goes astray from the truth, and someone turns him back,

Jas 5:20  let him know that he who turns a sinner from the straying of his way shall save a life from death and cover a great number of sins.

Yahudah (Jude)

Jud 1:14  And Hanok, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied of these, saying, “See, יהוה comes with His myriads of set-apart ones,

Jud 1:15  to execute judgment on all, to punish all who are wicked among them concerning all their wicked works which they have committed in a wicked way, and concerning all the harsh words which wicked sinners have spoken against Him.”

Jud 1:16  These are grumblers, complainers, who walk according to their own lusts, and their mouth speaks proudly, admiring faces of others for the sake of gain.

Jud 1:17  But you, beloved ones, remember the words spoken before by the emissaries of our Master יהושע Messiah,

Jud 1:18  because they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own wicked lusts.

Jud 1:19  These are the ones who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

Jud 1:20  But you, beloved ones, building yourselves up on your most set-apart belief, praying in the Set-apart Spirit,

Jud 1:21  keep yourselves in the love of Elohim, looking for the compassion of our Master יהושע Messiah unto everlasting life.

Jud 1:22  And show compassion toward some who are doubting,

Jud 1:23  but others save with fear, snatching them out of the fire, hating, even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Jud 1:24  And to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you blameless before the presence of His esteem with exceeding joy,

Jud 1:25  to the only wise Elohim, our Saviour, be esteem and greatness and might and authority, both now and forever. Hallel-u-Yah.

And to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling:   From Jud 1:24, If we deny that He can keep us from stumbling, We are Denying Yahusha, and if we deny Yahusha He will deny us before the Father.

Heb 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Set-apart Spirit,

Heb 6:5  and have tasted the good Word of Elohim and the powers of the age to come,

Heb 6:6  and fall away, to renew them again to repentance – having impaled for themselves the Son of Elohim again, and put Him to open shame.

And what did our Messiah say on this subject:

Mat 5:1  But when He saw the crowds, He went up on a mountain. And when He was seated His taught ones came to Him.

Mat 5:2  And having opened His mouth, He was teaching them, saying,

Mat 5:3  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, because theirs is the reign of the heavens.

Mat 5:4  “Blessed are those who mourn, because they shall be comforted.

Mat 5:5  “Blessed are the meek, because they shall inherit the earth.

Mat 5:6  “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because they shall be filled.

Mat 5:7  “Blessed are the compassionate, because they shall obtain compassion.

Mat 5:8  “Blessed are the clean in heart, because they shall see Elohim.

Mat 5:9  “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they shall be called sons of Elohim.

Mat 5:10  “Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness’ sake, because theirs is the reign of the heavens.

Mat 5:11  “Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and falsely say every wicked word against you, for My sake.

Mat 5:12  “Rejoice and be glad, because your reward in the heavens is great. For in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Mat 5:13  “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt becomes tasteless, how shall it be seasoned? For it is no longer of any use but to be thrown out and to be trodden down by men.

Mar 9:42  “And whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

Mar 9:43  “And if your hand makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two hands, to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

Mar 9:44  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Mar 9:45  “And if your foot makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two feet, to be thrown into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

Mar 9:46  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Mar 9:47  “And if your eye makes you stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter into the reign of Elohim with one eye, than having two eyes, to be thrown into the fire of Gehenna,

Mar 9:48  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Luk 1:5  There was in the days of Herodes, the sovereign of Yehudah, a certain priest named Zekaryah, of the division of Abiyah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheba.

Luk 1:6  And they were both righteous before Elohim, blamelessly walking in all the commands and righteousnesses of יהוה.

 Luk 5:32  “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

 Joh 9:31  “And we know that Elohim does not hear sinners. But if anyone fears Elohim and does His desire, He hears him.

And as we know, everything must line up with the Torah and the Prophets, Because our Messiah Yahusha said that not one jot or tittle will change from the Torah or the prophets, till heaven and earth disappear.  He was specific in stating Torah and Prophets.  Why??

I believe it is because the remaining writings and history are just that; The History of Yisra’el, what they did, right or wrong.  The history of them believing in ways contrary to Torah, they picked up more and more apostasy as they went and were eventually exiled according to the Blessings and the Curses in Torah.  All because they transgressed the Torah, they sinned.   

Psa 4:3  But know that יהוה has separated a kind one for Himself; יהוה hears when I call to Him.

Psa 4:4  Tremble, and do not sin. Speak within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

Psa 4:5  Offer slaughterings of righteousness, And trust in יהוה.

Psa 4:6  Many are saying, “Who would show us good?” יהוה, lift up the light of Your face upon us.

Psa 4:7  You have put more gladness in my heart, Than in the season that their grain and wine increased.

Psa 4:8  I lie down in peace altogether, and sleep; For You alone, O יהוה, make me dwell in safety.

We can lie down in peace and dwell in safety, when we free ourselves from sin.  Our Messiah came down to us and became a Man, He could bleed and feel pain, He was tempted, to show that He was flesh, and He could live sinless, He had the Spirit of Yahweh, He is the Spirit of Yahweh.  And He offers that Spirit to us, but the Spirit is grieved when we sin, He won’t stick around where there is a habit of sin.  Peace and Safety come with obedience.

Job 27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and I do not let it go. My heart does not reproach me as long as I live.

Exo 20:18  And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the sound of the ram’s horn, and the mountain smoking. And the people saw it, and they trembled and stood at a distance,

Exo 20:19  and said to Mosheh, “You speak with us and we hear, but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.”

Exo 20:20  And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not fear, for Elohim has come to prove you, and in order that His fear be before you, so that you do not sin.”  

Deu 6:22  and יהוה sent signs and wonders, great and grievous, upon Mitsrayim, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes.

Deu 6:23  ‘And He brought us out from there, to bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers.

Deu 6:24  ‘And יהוה commanded us to do all these laws, to fear יהוה our Elohim, for our good always, to keep us alive, as it is today.

Deu 6:25  ‘And it is righteousness for us when we guard to do all this command before יהוה our Elohim, as He has commanded us.’

Deu 16:20 “Follow righteousness, righteousness alone, so that you live and inherit the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.

Psa 11:7 For יהוה is righteous, He has loved righteousness; The upright shall see His face.

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,

Psa 1:2  But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.

Psa 1:3  For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers.

Psa 1:4  The wrong are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind blows away.

Psa 1:5  Therefore the wrong shall not rise in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psa 1:6  For יהוה knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wrong comes to naught.

Psa 23:3 He turns back my being; He leads me in paths of righteousness For His Name’s sake.

Pro 2:1  My son, if you accept my words, And treasure up my commands with you,

Pro 2:2  So that you make your ear attend to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding;

Pro 2:3  For if you cry for discernment, Lift up your voice for understanding,

Pro 2:4  If you seek her as silver, And search for her as hidden treasures,

Pro 2:5  Then you would understand the fear of יהוה, And find the knowledge of Elohim.

Pro 2:6  For יהוה gives wisdom; Out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Pro 2:7  And He treasures up stability for the straight, A shield to those walking blamelessly,

Pro 2:8  To watch over the paths of right-ruling, And the way of His kind ones He guards.

Pro 2:9  Then you would understand righteousness And right-ruling, and straightness – Every good path.

Pro 2:10  For wisdom would enter your heart, And knowledge be pleasant to your being,

Pro 2:11  Discretion would guard you; Understanding would watch over you,

Pro 2:12  To deliver you from the evil way, From the man who speaks perversities,

Pro 2:13  Those who leave the paths of straightness To walk in the ways of darkness;

Pro 2:14  Who rejoice to do evil; They delight in the perversities of evil;

Pro 2:15  Whose paths are crooked, And they are perverted in their ways;

Pro 2:16  To deliver you from the strange woman, From the foreigner who flatters with her words,

Pro 2:17  Who forsakes the companion of her youth, And has forgotten the covenant of her Elohim.

Pro 2:18  For her house has sunk down to death, And her paths to the dead;

Pro 2:19  None going in to her does return, Nor do they reach the paths of life –

Pro 2:20  So walk in the way of goodness, And guard the paths of righteousness.

Pro 2:21  For the straight shall dwell in the earth, And the perfect be left in it;

Pro 2:22  But the wrong shall be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous ones plucked out of it.

Pro 8:1  Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice?

Pro 8:2  On the top of the heights along the way, Between the paths she has taken her stand.

Pro 8:3  Beside the gates, leading to the city, At the entrances, she shouts:

Pro 8:4  “O men, I call, to you, And my voice is to the sons of men.

Pro 8:5  “You simple ones, understand insight, And you fools, be of an understanding heart.

Pro 8:6  “Listen, for I speak noble words, And the opening of my lips is about straightness;

Pro 8:7  “For my mouth speaks truth; And wrongness is an abomination to my lips.

Pro 8:8  “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness, None of them twisted or crooked,

Pro 8:9  “All of them plain to him who understands, And straight to those who find knowledge.

Pro 8:10  “Accept my discipline, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold;

Pro 8:11  “For wisdom is better than rubies, And all delights are not comparable to her.

Pro 8:12  “I, wisdom, have dwelt with insight, And I find knowledge, foresight.

Pro 8:13  “The fear of יהוה is to hate evil. I have hated pride and arrogance, And the evil way, And the perverse mouth.

Pro 8:14  “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, mightiness is mine.

Pro 8:15  “By me sovereigns reign, And rulers make righteous decrees.

Pro 8:16  “By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth.

Pro 8:17  “I love those who love me, And those who earnestly seek me do find me.

Pro 8:18  “Riches and esteem are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness.

Pro 8:19  “My fruit is better than gold and fine gold, And my increase than choice silver.

Pro 8:20  “I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of right- ruling,

Pro 8:21  “To bestow substance on those who love me, And to fill their treasuries.

Pro 8:22  “יהוה possessed me, The beginning of His way, As the first of His works of old.

Pro 8:23  “I was set up ages ago, at the first, Before the earth ever was.

Pro 8:24  “When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no springs heavy with water.

Pro 8:25  “Before mountains were sunk, Before the hills, I was brought forth,

Pro 8:26  “Before He had made the earth and the fields, Or the first dust of the world.

Pro 8:27  “When He prepared the heavens, I was there, When He decreed a vault on the face of the deep,

Pro 8:28  “When He set the clouds above, When He made the fountains of the deep strong,

Pro 8:29  “When He gave to the sea its limit, So that the waters would not transgress His command, When He decreed the foundations of the earth,

Pro 8:30  “Then I was beside Him, a master workman, And I was His delight, day by day Rejoicing before Him all the time,

Pro 8:31  “Rejoicing in the world, His earth; And my delights were with the sons of men.

Pro 8:32  “And now, listen to me, you children, For blessed are they who guard my ways.

Pro 8:33  “Listen to discipline and become wise, And do not refuse it.

Pro 8:34  “Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

Pro 8:35  “For whoever finds me shall find life, And obtain favour from יהוה,

Pro 8:36  “But he who sins against me injures himself; All who hate me love death!”

Pro 10:2 Treasures of wrongness are of no value, But righteousness delivers from death.

Pro 10:3  יהוה does not let the being of the righteous go hungry, But He thrusts away the desire of the wrong.

Pro 11:4  Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.

Pro 11:5  The righteousness of the perfect Makes his way straight, But by his own wrongness the wrong one falls.

Pro 11:6  The righteousness of the straight ones delivers them, But the treacherous are caught by greed.

Pro 11:7  When a wrong man dies, expectancy perishes, And the ambition of the wicked shall be lost.

Pro 11:8  The righteous is delivered from distress, And the wrong one takes his place.

Pro 11:9  The defiled one destroys his neighbour with his mouth, But the righteous is delivered by knowledge.

Pro 11:10  When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices. And when the wrong perish, there is shouting.

Pro 11:11  By the blessing of the straight the city is exalted, But by the mouth of the wrong it is overthrown.

Pro 11:12  He who lacks heart despises his neighbour, But a man of understanding keeps silence.

Pro 11:13  A slanderer is a revealer of secrets, But one with a trustworthy spirit conceals a matter.

Pro 11:14  Without guidance the people fall, But in a great counsellor there is safety.

Pro 11:15  He who is guarantor for a stranger suffers harm, But one who hates shaking hands in pledge is safe.

Pro 11:16  A woman showing favour obtains esteem, But ruthless men obtain riches.

Pro 11:17  A kind man is rewarding his being, But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.

Pro 11:18  The wrong one earns false wages, But the one sowing righteousness, a true reward.

Pro 11:19  Thus righteousness leads to life, And one pursuing evil, to his own death.

Pro 11:20  The perverse of heart are an abomination to יהוה, But the perfect in the Way are His delight.

Pro 11:21  Hand to hand, the evil one does not go unpunished, But the seed of the righteous shall escape.

Pro 12:17 He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit.

Pro 12:28 In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death. 

Pro 15:9  The way of the wrong one Is an abomination to יהוה, But He loves him who pursues righteousness.

Pro 15:10  Discipline is grievous to him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof dies.

Pro 21:21 He who pursues righteousness and kindness Finds life, righteousness and esteem.

Isa 59:19  And they shall fear the Name of יהוה from the west, and His esteem from the rising of the sun, when He comes like a distressing stream which the Spirit of יהוה drives on.

Isa 59:20  “And the Redeemer shall come to Tsiyon, and to those turning from transgression in Ya’aqob,” declares יהוה.

Isa 59:21  “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” said יהוה: “My Spirit that is upon you, and My Words that I have put in your mouth, shall not be withdrawn from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” said יהוה, “from this time and forever.”

 Eze 3:18  “When I say to the wrong, ‘You shall certainly die,’ and you have not warned him, nor spoken to warn the wrong from his wrong way, to save his life, that same wrong man shall die in his crookedness, and his blood I require at your hand.

Eze 3:19  “But if you have warned the wrong and he does not turn from his wrong, nor from his wrong way, he shall die in his crookedness, and you have delivered your being.

Eze 3:20  “And when a righteous one turns from his righteousness and shall do unrighteousness, when I have put a stumbling-block before him, he shall die. Because you did not warn him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done is not remembered, and his blood I require at your hand.

Eze 18:1  And the word of יהוה came to me, saying,

Eze 18:2  “What do you mean when you use this proverb concerning the land of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are blunted’?

Eze 18:3  “As I live,” declares the Master יהוה, “you shall no longer use this proverb in Yisra’ĕl.

Eze 18:4  “See, all beings are Mine, the being of the father as well as the being of the son is Mine. The being that is sinning shall die.

Eze 18:5  “But if a man is righteous and shall do right-ruling and righteousness,

Eze 18:6  if he has not eaten on the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Yisra’ĕl, nor defiled his neighbour’s wife, nor comes near a woman during her uncleanness,

Eze 18:7  if he does not oppress anyone, does return to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, does give his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment,

Eze 18:8  if he does not lend on interest or take increase, turns back his hand from unrighteousness, executes right-ruling in truth between man and man,

Eze 18:9  if he walks in My laws, and he has guarded My right-rulings in truth – he is righteous, he shall certainly live!” declares the Master יהוה.

Eze 18:10  “But if he has brought forth a son who is a robber or a shedder of blood, who does any of these –

Eze 18:11  whereas he himself did not do any of these – that also he has eaten on the mountains or defiled his neighbour’s wife,

Eze 18:12  if he has oppressed the poor and needy, has committed robbery, he does not return a pledge, has lifted his eyes to the idols, or did abomination,

Eze 18:13  if he has lent on interest or taken increase – shall he live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, he shall certainly die, his blood is upon him.

Eze 18:14  “But see, if he has brought forth a son who sees all the sins which his father has done, but he fears and does not do likewise,

Eze 18:15  has not eaten on the mountains, and has not lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of Yisra’ĕl, has not defiled his neighbour’s wife,

Eze 18:16  has not oppressed anyone, nor withheld a pledge, nor committed robbery, has given his bread to the hungry and covered the naked with a garment,

Eze 18:17  turns back his hand from wronging the poor, and he has not taken interest or increase, has executed My right-rulings and walked in My laws – he shall not die for the crookedness of his father, he shall certainly live!

Eze 18:18  “His father, because he used oppression, robbed his brother, and did what is not good among his people, see, he shall die for his crookedness.

Eze 18:19  “And you said, ‘Why should the son not bear the crookedness of the father?’ But the son has done right-ruling and righteousness, he has guarded all My laws and he does them, he shall certainly live.

Eze 18:20  “The being who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son. The righteousness of the righteous is upon himself, and the wrongness of the wrong is upon himself.

Eze 18:21  “But the wrong, if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

Eze 18:22  “All the transgressions which he has done shall not be remembered against him – in his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.

Eze 18:23  “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong?” declares the Master יהוה. “Is it not that he should turn from his ways, and live?

Eze 18:24  “But when a righteous one turns away from his righteousness and does unrighteousness, according to all the abominations that the wrong one has done, shall he live? All his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered. For his trespass which he has committed, and for his sin which he has committed, for them he shall die.

Eze 18:25  “And you said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Hear now, O house of Yisra’ĕl, is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

Eze 18:26  “When a righteous one turns away from his righteousness, and does unrighteousness, and he dies in it, it is because of his unrighteousness which he has done that he dies.

Eze 18:27  “And when the wrong turns away from the wrong which he has done, and he does right-ruling and righteousness, he keeps himself alive.

Eze 18:28  “Because he sees and turns away from all the transgressions which he has done, he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

Eze 18:29  “And the house of Yisra’ĕl have said, ‘The way of יהוה is not right.’ Are My ways not right, O house of Yisra’ĕl? Is it not your ways that are not right?

Eze 18:30  “Therefore I judge you, O house of Yisra’el, every one according to his ways,” declares the Master יהוה. “Repent, and turn back from all your transgressions, and let not crookedness be a stumbling-block to you.

Eze 18:31  “Cast away from you all the transgressions, by which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕl?

Eze 18:32  “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” declares the Master יהוה. “So turn back and live!”

Eze 33:10  “And you, O son of man, say to the house of Yisra’ĕl, ‘This is what you have said, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how then shall we live?” ’

Eze 33:11  “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ declares the Master יהוה, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wrong, but that the wrong turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕl?’

Eze 33:12  “And you, O son of man, say to the children of your people, ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression. And as for the wrongness of the wrong, he shall not stumble because of it in the day that he turns from his wrong. And the righteous shall not be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’

Eze 33:13  “When I say to the righteous that he shall live, and he has trusted in his righteousness, and shall do unrighteousness, none of his righteousness shall be remembered, but because of his unrighteousness that he has done, he shall die.

Eze 33:14  “Again, when I say to the wrong, ‘You shall certainly die,’ if he turns from his sin and does right and righteousness,

Eze 33:15  if the wrong restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the laws of life without doing crookedness, he shall certainly live; he shall not die.

Eze 33:16  “None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him – he has done right and righteousness; he shall certainly live.

Eze 33:17  “And the children of your people have said, ‘The way of יהוה is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair!

Eze 33:18  “When the righteous turns from his righteousness and does unrighteousness, he shall die because of it.

Eze 33:19  “But when the wrong turns from his wrongness and does right and righteousness, he shall live because of it.

Eze 33:20  “And you have said, ‘The way of יהוה is not fair.’ O house of Yisra’ĕl, I shall judge every one of you according to his own ways.”

Eze 33:21  And it came to be in the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth of the month, that one who had escaped from Yerushalayim came to me and said, “The city has been smitten!”

Eze 33:22  And the hand of יהוה came upon me the evening before the man came who had escaped. And He had opened my mouth, before he came to me in the morning. And my mouth was opened. And I was no longer silent.

Eze 33:23  Then the word of יהוה came to me, saying,

Eze 33:24  “Son of man, they who inhabit those ruins in the land of Yisra’ĕl are saying, ‘Abraham was only one, and he inherited the land. But we are many, let the land be given to us as a possession.’

Eze 33:25  “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “You eat meat with blood, and you lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood. Should you then possess the land?

Eze 33:26  “You depend on your sword, and you commit abominations, and each of you defiles his neighbour’s wife. Should you then possess the land?” ’

Eze 33:27  “Say this to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “As I live, those who are in the ruins shall fall by the sword, and the one who is in the open field I shall give to the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in the strongholds and caves shall die of the pestilence.

Eze 33:28  “And I shall make the land a desert and a waste, the arrogance of her strength shall cease, and the mountains of Yisra’ĕl shall be a waste, with none passing through.

Eze 33:29  “And they shall know that I am יהוה, when I have made the land a desert and a waste, because of all their abominations which they have done.” ’

Eze 33:30  “As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses. And they speak to each other, each saying to his brother, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes from יהוה.’

Eze 33:31  “And they come to you as people do, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love – their hearts pursue their greedy gain.

Eze 33:32  “And see, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and playing well on an instrument. And they hear your words, but they do not do them.

Eze 33:33  “And when it comes – see, it shall come – then they shall know that a prophet has been in their midst.”

 Dan 12:3 “And those who have insight shall shine like the brightness of the expanse, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

Dan 12:4 “But you, Dani’ĕl, hide the words, and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall diligently search and knowledge shall increase.”

Hos 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap according to kindness, break up your tillable ground, it is time to seek יהוה, till He comes and rains1 righteousness on you.

Zep 2:1  Gather together, gather together, O nation without shame,

Zep 2:2  before the decree is born – the day shall pass on like chaff – before the burning wrath of יהוה comes upon you, before the day of wrath of יהוה comes upon you!

Zep 2:3  Seek יהוה, all you meek ones of the earth, who have done His right-ruling. Seek righteousness, seek meekness, if so be that you are hidden in the day of wrath of יהוה.
